Most Americans assume the United States is the world’s unrivaled nuclear superpower. The truth is, America’s nuclear stockpile has shrunk significantly. Meanwhile, China is building nuclear weapons at a rapid pace, and arms experts believe the world’s security is now at serious risk due to the communist regime’s expansionist schemes. Since the end of the Cold War, the United States has dramatically reduced the number of nuclear weapons it has deployed or in storage. That arsenal today is roughly 85 percent smaller than at the height of the nuclear arms race with the Soviet Union, and the number of operational…

I love food—all kinds of food, and I especially enjoy an array of colors on my plate. I was born and raised in Mexico, and I’m not alone in believing that Mexico has some of the world’s best cuisine. So, yes, food is important to me.  In the past, I never paid much attention to what food really did to my health. Instead, I just enjoyed the amazing satisfaction of trying new flavors and eating whatever I wanted—things like chocolate. I joke sometimes claiming myself to be a chocoholic. I love chocolate! I even have a T-shirt that says, “I am…

The melodies and lyrics of Highlands Worship’s latest album “Prayers to the King” were produced with the intention of creating a calming yet inspiring time of worship. Imagine pausing during a chaotic day or drifting off to sleep as (one of my favorite tunes from the album) “You’re Coming (Pray)” lulls the din and helps you refocus on the importance of believing in the promises of God. An arm of Church of the Highlands based in Alabama, Highlands Worship is “a collective team of pastors, musicians, worship leaders, and songwriters who serve every week” at campuses around the state. The…

Gateway Church has officially named its new senior pastor who will replace Robert Morris.  The announcement comes just one year shy of Morris’ exit in disgrace from the megachurch after admitting to “inappropriate sexual behavior with a young lady” after 55-year-old Cindy Clemishire claimed he molested her decades ago when she was 12 years old. In March, the former senior pastor of the Southlake, Texas turned himself in to authorities at the Osage County Courthouse in Oklahoma. He was indicted on five counts of lewd or indecent acts with a child. After his tumultuous resignation, the Southlake campus saw a…
